- in conjunction with “The Mysterious Miss Austen” exhibition in The Gallery.
Saturdays from 13th May to 22nd July inclusive (not 10th June – see below). Starting at 3.30pm - ticket holders should meet your guide outside the Discovery Centre café.
Take a tour around Regency Winchester and find out about the 'races and revels and dissolute measures' referred to by Jane Austen. There were riots too! Your walk will take approximately 90 mins and end outside the Cathedral. Participants may then, if they wish, go inside to see Jane Austen’s grave and attend Evensong at 5.30pm. (Free entry if attending the service). Note: Cathedral services are sometimes subject to change; please check the Cathedral website).
On Saturday 10th June the tour will start at 3.00pm from the Tourist Information Centre and will include a guided visit inside the Cathedral, for which entry via the guide will cost £2.50 (Friends of the Cathedral free entry).
