Explore our city’s rich heritage in more depth.

Winchester is alive with natural, historic and architectural treasures. Each year the guides offer a programme of themed walking tours which allow them to share their special interests and enthusiasms. Marking the 200th anniversary of the death of Jane Austen in Winchester our historically themed tours this year pay tribute to the women who have shaped the city’s history. Let us also show you some of the private buildings and hidden places of Winchester. Then there are our traditional seasonal delights as the year draws to a close. Learn about different historical periods, explore a disused railway tunnel, have some fun at Halloween or enjoy the special atmosphere of Winchester at Christmas.

For details of individual tours see under the various theme headings below.
