This walk has it all – picturesque nature, breathtaking views, tree-lined paths and a forgotten railway. It’s not just a walk, but a journey through time.
Join one of Winchester’s professional guides for a 90 minute walking tour, starting at Winchester Visitor Information Centre.
Cross the bridge that once spanned the Chesil railway, then climb the hill for a view of Winchester’s history. Admire the beautiful Paula Moran Seat, see a house with a majestic coat of arms, and learn about the Saxon skeletons discovered on its grounds.
There are steep slopes and steps around St. Giles’ Hill which makes this tour unsuitable for wheelchairs. Please wear suitable footwear.
Tickets are £12 for adults, £5 for children (under 16) and available in advance through the website or in person on the day at the Visitor Information Centre if still available.
